Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026 Last updated: October 12, 2026
1. Who we are
KOURKE LLC ("Ecom Outpost", "we", "us") runs the shopping discovery website at ecomoutpost.com (the "Site") and the Ecom Outpost app for Shopify merchants (the "Merchant App"). KOURKE LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Contact: support@ecomoutpost.com Postal address: 650 Ponce De Leon Ave., Atlanta, GA 30308
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to:
- Shoppers: people who browse the Site.
- Merchants: businesses that connect a Shopify store to Ecom Outpost through the Merchant App, and the people who use the Merchant App for them.
It doesn't cover merchants' own websites or checkouts. When you leave the Site for a merchant's store, that merchant's privacy policy applies.
3. Information about shoppers
3.1 You don't need an account
You can browse the Site without creating an account or giving us your name, email address or other contact details.
3.2 We don't set cookies or use trackers
The Site currently sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools. We keep our own anonymous counts of page views and clicks, described in section 3.5. If that changes, we'll update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
3.3 Technical information when you visit
Like any website, the Site has to receive some technical information to deliver pages to you and keep the service secure:
- Our own request logs record the page or address requested, the type of request, the response status, how long it took, and a request identifier. They don't record your IP address.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, delivers and protects the Site. Cloudflare processes information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page you request, and your approximate location, to deliver content, prevent attacks and keep the Site running. Cloudflare's service logs for our application are kept for up to 7 days.
We use this information only to operate, secure and fix the Site. We don't use it to build profiles of shoppers.
3.4 When you click through to a merchant
Product pages include buttons that take you to the merchant's own store. For connected Shopify stores, a buy button may open the merchant's checkout with the item already in your cart. That link contains:
- a technical access code that lets the merchant's checkout recognize the request, and
- a label identifying Ecom Outpost as the source, so the merchant's Shopify admin can show that the order came through Ecom Outpost.
These links contain no information about you. We don't receive your order, payment details or contact information from the merchant. Anything you give the merchant is handled under the merchant's privacy policy.
3.5 Anonymous counts for merchants
To show merchants how much interest Ecom Outpost sends them, we count:
- views of store and product pages;
- clicks on "Visit store" buttons, which pass through a short link on our site before taking you to the merchant; and
- how often Sponsored results and banners are shown and clicked.
We store these only as totals per store, product or campaign, per day. We don't store your IP address, a cookie or any identifier with them, and we can't tell from them who you are or what else you viewed. Requests that look automated (for example, search-engine crawlers) are excluded or counted separately. Merchants see the totals for their own store only.
3.6 Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it to respond to you and keep it as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and keep a record of it.
4. Information about merchants
4.1 Information we receive from Shopify
When a merchant installs the Merchant App and connects their store, Shopify gives us, with the merchant's permission:
- Store details: store name, the store's Shopify and public web addresses, currency and country.
- Product details, only for products the merchant publishes to the Ecom Outpost sales channel: titles, descriptions, images, prices, variants, availability and similar listing information.
- Access credentials that Shopify issues so the Merchant App can work. These are stored encrypted. We also create a storefront access code used only for checkout links.
The Merchant App doesn't request access to the merchant's customers or other personal information about the merchant's shoppers. Shopify gives sales channels like Ecom Outpost permission to read only the orders placed through that channel. We don't currently retrieve or store those orders. If we start using them, for example to verify reviews, we'll update this policy first.
4.1a Stores we list from public information
We may list a store that hasn't installed the Merchant App, using only public business information: the store's name, its website address and a short summary we write ourselves. We record where we checked these facts. A store owner can ask us to correct or remove such a listing at support@ecomoutpost.com.
We also list stores owned by Ecom Outpost's own operators. These are labeled "From our own store" wherever we promote them.
4.2 Information we create about a merchant's use of Ecom Outpost
- Installation and connection records, such as when the app was installed, connected or uninstalled.
- The version and date of the listing terms the merchant accepted.
- Review and moderation status, and the reasons a product couldn't be listed.
- Plan and billing records, such as the plan, the price, Shopify charge identifiers, status and dates, and records of advertising purchases such as banners. Payments are processed by Shopify. We don't receive card or bank details.
- Daily totals of views and clicks for the merchant's store and products (see section 3.5).
- Security and audit logs of significant actions.
- Support messages the merchant sends us.
4.3 How we use merchant information
- To display the merchant's store profile and, on eligible plans, their published products on the Site.
- To keep listings in sync with Shopify, show merchants product problems, and run the Merchant App.
- To review stores and enforce our listing rules.
- To honor plan pricing, including prices locked in for existing subscribers.
- To provide support, keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Ecom Outpost is designed for United States stores and shoppers. Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on:
- performance of our agreement with merchants;
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Site; and
- compliance with legal obligations.
6. How we share information
We don't sell personal information. We don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run Ecom Outpost, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, security and databases.
- Shopify: the platform the Merchant App runs on, and billing for paid plans.
- Cloudflare Email Routing: forwards email sent to support@ecomoutpost.com to our inbox (Google Gmail).
- Publicly, as part of the service: a merchant's store profile and eligible product listings are shown to shoppers on the Site.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Ecom Outpost, our users or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
7. How long we keep information
- Shopper technical logs: kept briefly. Our hosting provider's application logs are kept for up to 7 days.
- Anonymous daily counts: kept as long as useful for merchant reporting. They contain no personal information.
- Support emails: kept as long as reasonably needed to handle the request and keep a record of it.
- Merchant product data: after a merchant uninstalls the Merchant App, Shopify sends us a data-deletion request, and we then delete that store's product data.
- Records we keep after uninstall: a limited set, such as the store's name and web address, plan and billing history, and security and audit logs. We keep these where needed to run the service, honor plan pricing, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations, and only as long as needed for those purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- encryption of access credentials;
- verification of messages received from Shopify;
- limited, least-privilege access to systems; and
- audit logging.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your choices and rights
- Shoppers can browse without an account. Because we don't set cookies or trackers, there's nothing to opt out of today.
- Merchants can unpublish products from the Ecom Outpost channel or uninstall the Merchant App at any time. Uninstalling removes the store and its products from the Site's public pages and search.
- Requests: depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. To make a request, email support@ecomoutpost.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we won't discriminate against you for using your rights.
10. Children
The Site and Merchant App aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. International users
Ecom Outpost is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we'll give more prominent notice. For merchants, that may be a notice in the Merchant App.
